Here are a few of their stories. Read More We believe that the purpose of college is to shape souls. Will you help us save King’s during our time of financial need? Watch Video Update on The King’s College The King’s College Board of Trustees and senior administration continue to contend for the College’s future and remain actively engaged in discussions regarding potential strategic alliances. The King’s College has decided to not offer courses for the Fall 2023 semester while leadership focuses on a long-term solution, and therefore continues to actively challenge the Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s action to withdraw accreditation. Any donations to The King’s College are both welcomed and vital and will be used to fulfill our current pressing obligations and help the College as it makes important choices during this time. King’s leadership appreciates the ongoing prayers and support of our community. DONATE Academics Wrestle with foundational ideas. What is true? How should we live together and govern ourselves? How can we manage our resources to advance human flourishing? Within a core curriculum of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, gain a Christian framework to understand history’s enduring questions. See Academics Prepare to shape your world. The true purpose of college is more than the green lawn and weightier than a framed piece of paper. It’s about preparing you for the world you participate in during and after college. At King’s you’ll be challenged to grow, with a business casual dress code, professors who set the bar high, and peers who come from everywhere and are up to everything . Testimonial Jessica Lee The King’s College 2014, J.D. Fordham University Jessica’s legal expertise has led to a range of positions in the field, from judicial law clerk to Chief Judge Thomas E. Johnston in the Southern District of West Virginia, to Assistant Solicitor General for the State of West Virginia. While still early in her career, she’s had the opportunity to intervene in injustice, such as by advocating for the First Amendment free-speech rights of Christians to publicly express their faith in the face of a discriminatory city ordinance. Jessica credits King’s for preparing her well for law school and for a career giving voice to the voiceless: King’s helped me understand that ‘I can’t’ is never an option and that God has planted the will and the way inside of us to go the distance in whatever field we’re called to.” Testimonial Kellen DiStefano The King’s College 2008; M.B.A. Fuqua School of Business at Duke University After graduating from King’s, Kellen worked for eight years at PEI Funds, a New York investment fund. He then received his M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and has continued to move forward in the world of business. He values the politics, philosophy, and economics core that King’s requires as well as its setting in New York City. I learned how to think critically and communicate clearly, and I sharpened my skills working alongside incredibly talented people in the City.” Testimonial Aaron Craig The King’s College 2010; Filmmaker and Co-Founder of We Are Films The co-founder of video production company We Are Films, Aaron has directed videos for Sufjan Stevens, the Cold War Kids, Nike, Andy Mineo, Microsoft, Virgin Atlantic Airlines, Squarespace, RedBull, and many more. He also had a short film shown at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France. Aaron says, We’re always striving for excellence, but in a way that’s different: no shortcuts, no excuses, and no taking advantage of people. The film industry has a reputation for being cutthroat, backstabbing, and grueling. It’s true—especially in NYC—but it doesn’t have to be that way.” Testimonial Elisa Lambert The King’s College 2014; Measuring and Advancing Human Flourishing At first glance, you’d think evaluation and the humanities would have little to do with each other. Yet, both look at how people are shaped and influenced,” says Elisa Lambert, who took her Media, Culture, and the Arts degree from King’s into work at The Bowery Mission, where she created and evaluated program structures to enable teams to serve the community. More recently, she pursued a double master’s degree in Sociology and Public Administration at the University of Colorado. There are some wounds which will never heal, at least in this life,” Elisa says, But I want to protect who I can, do what I can, and heal what I can, anxiously awaiting Christ’s return.” Next Swipe King’s at a Glance The King’s mission is for our alumni and faculty to transform society through principled service in the institutions of culture. 97% of King’s alumni were employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation 69% of our last graduating class works in New York City 87% of graduates completed at least one internship as students About King’s Nondiscriminatory Policy As To Students The King’s College admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Give Sign up for The King’s Insider About Through its commitment to the truths of Christianity and a biblical worldview, The King’s College seeks to transform society by preparing students for careers in which they help to shape and eventually lead strategic public and private institutions, and by supporting faculty members as they directly engage culture through writing and speaking publicly on critical issues.
